Community and Stakeholder Engagement for RCOs: Engaging Community in Assessments - Session 2
Session 2: Engaging Community in Assessments
Participants will learn how to engage communities in the assessment process to ensure efforts are community-led, strengths-based, and inclusive.
A core tenet of Recovery Community Organizations is ensuring "Authenticity of Voice" through prioritizing and intentionally nurturing connection to one or more communities of recovery. This is often carried out through community and stakeholder engagement activities.
This learning collaborative will help RCOs to be clear about the purposes and/or goals of community engagement efforts, learn effective ways to establish relationships with formal and informal stakeholders, learn how to partner with the community to create change and improve health, and discover ways of identifying and mobilizing community assets and strengths by developing the community's capacities and resources.
