Community and Stakeholder Engagement for RCOs: Frameworks - Session 1

Session 1: An Introduction to Community and Stakeholder Engagement Frameworks

Participants will learn frameworks to build capacity for and create system change and how to work within their sphere of influence to address community needs.

A core tenet of Recovery Community Organizations is ensuring "Authenticity of Voice" through prioritizing and intentionally nurturing connection to one or more communities of recovery. This is often carried out through community and stakeholder engagement activities. This learning collaborative will help RCOs to be clear about the purposes and/or goals of community engagement efforts, learn effective ways to establish relationships with formal and informal stakeholders, learn how to partner with the community to create change and improve health, and discover ways of identifying and mobilizing community assets and strengths by developing the community's capacities and resources.
