THE CENTER FOR ADDICTION RECOVERY SUPPORT (CARS) IS A COLLABORATIVE PROGRAM
about us
CARS, a SAMHSA funded program led by One World Recovery Network in collaboration with the Office of Recovery, aims to expand access to peer-led training and technical assistance (TTA) for addiction recovery support services nationwide.
Our focus is on providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive TTA support to public and non-profit organizations that provide, or support services intended for people who are experiencing challenges related to a substance use or co-occurring condition.
CARS will offer resources, training, and tools to help peer and recovery support providers build capacity.

CARS will launch January 6, 2025 and will begin receiving TTA requests.

CARS is led by One World Recovery Network, a Peer-Led Recovery Community Organization; in collaboration with a National Steering Committee, comprised of people with lived and living experiences.

Technical Assistance (TA) is the process of providing specialized support and guidance to individuals, organizations, and programs to help them develop, improve, and achieve their goals. This support can take various forms, including expert advice, training, resource development, strategic planning, and program evaluation. The aim of technical assistance is to build capacity, enhance performance, and promote effective practices, ensuring that recipients have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

Anyone—individuals, organizations, communities, states—can request TA through CARS.
